We have a very diverse herd that were chosen for their solid confirmation, strong feet, personality, vigor, and parenting abilities. Click on the picture to see the herd members.

Brood Does
These girls have all earned their spot on the MVP roster for one reason or another. The common denominators are good basic confirmation and easy keepers. They also get brownie points for not escaping from their assigned pastures and for being somewhat personable with the visitors.
Herd Sires
There was a time when I said NO WAY was I having a buck on the place...now we have a few! We choose our bucks as babies, but only when they say WOW! to us. That initial pleasing look along with the strong gut feeling has worked for us so far. So much for scientific research! Of course, if they don't continue to meet our standards they are wethered & culled.
Actually starting on December 31st, all our hopes were realized when the first kid on the ground was a solid black doeling! Exactly what we wanted (well, what Wendy wanted) to start off the year. It's now April 24th and all of our goats have kidded. Wow do we have a lot of flashy babies. Lots for sale, too!
Click here to see our 2007 crop. Some of these doelings were retained as brood does. Some went to market, some went to clean up brush, and others went to rival breeding programs. All in all, a very good year for MVP Acres. We placed near the top in jackpot & fair shows this year, and did very well at the Virginia State Fair.
Former Residents
Gone but not forgotten. Some of these characteristics are still seen and have been built upon to give us the excellent herd we have now established. Some are just treasured friends we made along the way.
